BURNAWAY – C4 Atlanta Grant Writing Workshop

Workshop cost: $40 general / $30 members (until January 15), $45 / $35 (after January 15)

Grants to individual artists are a great way to help fund new ideas and work that might not be able viable for the typical commercial approaches. Grants can allow you opportunity to experiment on work that you otherwise would not have had the budget to attempt. This workshop will address the nuts and bolts of applying for individual artist grants, from finding grants that best match your professional and artistic goals to preparing application materials that stand out and communicate both what you have to offer and what you stand to gain from the funding opportunity.

You will learn strategies for shaping application content, developing outstanding portfolios and artist statements, and selecting references and partners. This workshop is relevant for any artist, whether you are researching these kinds of opportunities, have questions about application processes or are looking for support to make your application stronger, you will gain the necessary resources for a successful grant application.
