Over the past two years, NDEO, along with a Dance Writing Team, has led the development of important new standards for dance. In order to assist educators with implementing the standards in their studio and classrooms, NDEO is offering a series of Regional Special Topics Conferences focused on training educators from all sectors on the content of the standards and how to implement them in the studio and classroom.
The first of three planned regional weekend conferences, Standards in Action (East Coast) willintroduce the new NCCAS Dance Standards, deepen participants' understanding of the standards' content, provide instructional strategies on how to implement the standards in the studio and classroom, and train educators to develop Model Cornerstone Assessments. Central and West Coast conferences are slated for January and July 2016, respectfully.
